The planks are very well made and smooth (no possibility of splintered). They are great for building. However, I feel that having planks of various heights (depths) would make this set truly amazing!!!

My four-year-old grandson and I love blocks. This set disappointed. I didn't realize all 300 pieces are exactly the same limiting the kinds of constructions you can make. I would like to exchange it.

Bought 2 sets for my grandsons to play with at my house. One set is probably plenty, though. These planks are very sturdy and well-made. They also smell so good - real wood - I keep sniffing them because it makes me happy! The storage bags included are also very high quality and well-made. The boys like to stack them, of course, and load them into their toy trucks, etc. for all sorts of imaginative play that will keep them pre-occupied and content for a long time.

I've ordered this for a GGranD 3 yrs old for Christmas last year. And she Loves it. Her daddy gets her stared ... and then she builds and builds. So I ordered theses two 1 for bd gift .... and we will keep one at our home. Great toy. Grandma M

A beautiful collection of "planks" that bring out creativity, fine motor control, and sense of adventure. I bought this for my eight year old grandson, but my eleven year old granddaughter loves it just as well, and they enjoy playing with it together. Highly recommended.

The wooden planks worked just as I hoped. My 6 year old grandson didn't have the patience to build with the little cross pieces of our Lincoln Logs. So I thought these would be easier to build with. Once he got started he didn't want to stop building with the planks. Good purchase!
