I cannot rate the item because due to family drama, I do not see my grandchildren. I will continue to send them gifts whether they receive them or not though because that's what grandparents do :)

An absolute hit! The first experiment sparked my niece's curiosity immediately, and she wants to do them all right away! Suggesting she take notes along the way was a great idea, and an important one as well because the experiments build upon one another- Thus, as she moves through the individual activities, she will be learning about a variety of specific research practices, procedures and facts as well as scientific basic principles that span specific situations.

My 10 year old grandson is very happy with this.

The toy provided a wonderful outlet for my nephew's creative and inquisitive energies.

I bought this as a Christmas gift for my 10 year old granddaughter. She loves it! She and her friend (who is a 3 years older boy) spent a whole afternoon doing experiements with it the last time they got together. The experiments are fascinating and I also like that they are able to follow the directions well enough to be able to perform the experiments successfully with little or no help from the adults.

VERY disappointed in the quality of the kit, which consisted of cheap plastic and minimal chemicals. Additionally, It was missing one of the chemicals and the test tubes were inadequate and didn't resemble the pictures. The Petri dish was too small to be useful and had a chip along the edge. The instructions lacked clarity and should have had an ingredient list and numbered steps, much like a recipe. Finally, it was impossible to screw the battery cover back on to the lighted holder. As a result, I had to tape the cover into place.

My 6 year old granddaughter really enjoys this. Stimulates her imagination.

We love the science kit. I just wish that there would be a way to recreate the experiments a second time, or do all of the experiments!

My 8 yo daughter loves science experiments and this kit does not disappoint! The beakers, the tools, the powders - she couldn't put it down. Great gift for anyone who loves mixtures and watching things react.

There are lots of wonderful fun things to try. i wish the instructions were broken up a little more to highlight projects that need to be done in groups and those that can be done singularly.

My 2nd grader has done several of the experiments so far. She is able to do it mostly by herself and feels great accomplishment when she does it without our help. We haven't tried nearly everything yet, but so far it is is excellent and will last us a long time.

My grandchildren love doing the different experiments. They found them to be fascinating. My daughter is a teacher doing virtual learning with her children and is incorporating this into their daily science lesson.
