I got this for my 1 yr old grandson. It's reminiscent of one his dad had when he was little. I like the sturdiness and size of the blocks. Perfect for little hands.

For our 11-month-old grandson. He's not quite yet matching the shapes to the proper holes but he tries! it's great for his core strength and it's great for his hand eye coordination

My 9 month old granddaughter loves the shape sorter. She entertained herself with opening the lid and banging the shapes together. She has not started to put the shapes in the right holes, but that will come soon.

The toddler can easily hold and manipulate the shapes into the holes and loves the colors of the shapes. Each time they line up correctly and the shape drops into the hole my toddler is thrilled. this instant reward encourages them to learn their shapes and colors and helps them with fine motor control as well. I like that the toy is easy to clean up and take with us.

well built box and sturdy pieces. blocks are a good size so I'm not worried about him putting too far into his mouth. the carrying strap is nice to have and my kid likes opening the lid more than anything. corners are sharp of course because it's a box so while my new walker is still a bit unsteady, I worry he's going to fall on a sharp corner, so I try to keep this toy a bit more out of the way.

Excellent toy. Like the quality, made with wood. Child can open top easily and loves taking blocks in and out. A little young still to put shapes to holes but enjoyed " helping" put shapes through holes and laughed every time! Like the colors, too.

She uses this frequently, whether it's taking the blocks out thru the top or trying to figure which shape fits where

My 11 month old grandson is very interested in this box. He figured out how to open it at first, and has spent a lot of time putting a variety of things in it, and then removing them. So far, we have only given him the four blocks that match the holes on the top-it seemed like it might be overwhelming to give him all of them. He gets the idea that the shapes should go in the holes, but his favorite block (the blue clover shape) is very hard for him to fit in. My only hesitation in recommending this is that every single block/hole combo is different. I think it might be better if there was some repetition between shapes, while keeping the colors different. That would still be challenging, but would allow for a few more learning points.

This toy helps with shapes, colors and patience. The two children I bought these for (two separate families) both played with it as soon as we taught them what they were to do with them. One of them won't go to bed before she plays with this. I am pleased with the construction, too. No rough edges. Thank you

We had been searching for something age appropriate for our twin one-year old nieces. Had no idea what to get, but we knew we wanted to ensure it was something cerebral. This was the perfect gift. No screens, or noises. Just old fashioned puzzling skills. The girls love the pieces, and I think they'll get the hang of where the pieces fit in soon.

It's a very nice and well built product BUT my kids aren't at an age yet (11-months) where it has their attention. Hopefully that changes in the next few months!

My son was relieved that I had intentionally chosen a toy with NO BATTERIES and made of wood for his daughter. She is a just a bit young for this, but it should provide fun and learning for a couple of years. At present she tries to put a block into the correct hole, but can't quite manage the turning of the wrist needed to get it done. The blocks and box do make a very satisfying click sound when banged together, though--much better than plastic.

Product is a definite learning tool. Teachers names and shapes. Only criticism is the top opening does not lock so hard to turn with blocks inside. I will put on a velcro lock!

Nice activity for our one year old grandson. We're only using a couple of the shapes to get him used to it but he loves it.

I put in the play value and scale inputs since they're required, but currently I haven't actually let me daughter interact with the toy. The corners of the box are too sharp. I love the concept and think it will be a great toy when she's older (she's 11.5 months), but I just can't get comfortable right now leaving it with her. If the wood could be smoothed out on the corners, that would be awesome. We love all of our other (many) Fat Brain toys!!

The product is very well made. My 15-month grandson loves the colors and shapes. He can't quite get them into the box yet, but he loves to stack them and play with them outside the box.

This is great! High-quality craftsmanship, a good variety of shapes and colors, and not too heavy for a little one to maneuver around, especially for the price.
