This was a gift for a 2yr old girl and her parents said it was a winner immediately. She always wants to play with her 'town' now!

I also sent the My Town Block set a few years ago to a different granddaughter's family, and they like it, too. Our son commented favorably on the combination of puzzle and wooden block town structures/vehicles and how many options for play it provides. As to the "disagree" in the ratings below, I think the toy may promote interaction, but I don't think it requires it.

This toy is really fun!! We use the blocks both with the puzzle included and with a Melissa and Doug city rug. It's fun to build different buildings and design the city to a toddlers preference! Would absolutely recommend.

Our two-year-old granddaughter loved this birthday gift! She needs help putting the puzzles pieces together but has had a great time making the buildings, and "driving" the cars and trucks along the roads. It's a different town every time she plays with it!

I thought the road/scenery puzzle would create hiccups for play, but my son really enjoys watching me put it together (he isn't old enough to do it himself). He also loves all the block pieces and the creativity of different configurations.

This was a big hit with our great-granddaughter, Abi. Perfectly designed for her age group (2 years); lots of activities in one toy—completing a puzzle that's the foundation of the town, using the colorful building blocks to create the community, using the "people blocks" to show how people in the town interact. This is imaginative play at its best. She squealed in delight when she saw the brightly colored cars. Nicely done, Fat Brain!

My 2 year old grandson was interested, showing off pieces, joining on putting the puzzle parts with his family. He decided when to put it back in the box.I watched them, over meet duo

Very imaginative and fun. Can be played simply now and expanded as the children grow up.

The toy is educational and seems to keep his attention for a little while at a time. The child is almost 2.

A multi-purpose toy that stimulates a child's imagination! The puzzle is a bonus.

This was a gift for a very advanced one year old. He loves "building the town" with puzzle help. Loves moving the cars through the town to pick up the people. The people in his town visit grandma, the doctor and stop for a count of 3 at traffic lights and stop sign to allow others to cross, LOL

My grandchild enjoys dumping the blocks, organizing the pieces, identifying the colors and letters, learning the words on the signs, building simple structures, and playing separately with the people and the vehicles. This was given to her months ago, and she has not lost interest in it. Even though we have other block sets, this one is a favorite. We sometimes use the puzzle platform of roads, but rarely. The big box makes the set easy to store; however, I find it simpler to keep the puzzle platform already assembled and store it beneath a couch rather than take the time to reassemble it every time we decide to use it. Because my grandchild is eager to identify all the people and vehicles, this has led to interesting conversations about emergency vehicles and some concern on my part about the stereotypes reinforced by the people: All five appear to be white, and four of the five appear to be male; the apparent female appears to be a nurse, thanks to the hat. I would recommend improvin

The block set is great. My 2-1/2 year old granddaughter loves it and spends far more time with it than many of her other toys.

Toy is safe, wholesome fun. Puzzle stimulates analytical ability, fine motor skill, and age-appropriate challenge. A 2-year old may need assistance assembling the puzzle base, but will undoubtedly enjoy the various blocks. I highly recommend this toy!

I bought this for my 2yo niece's birthday and had it shipped. She received it before her birthday. She and her sisters really enjoy it so far, and my sister says it is well made and sturdy. I have already recommended it to a friend who saw a picture on Facebook and wanted to buy one for her grandson. Thanks!

Quality is good. Big puzzles. Wooden blocks of buildings, cars, people and alphabets are just beyond expectations. Picture doesn't justify it. I bought it for my 2 y.o nephew. Haven't send it yet to him. But I'm sure he will love it !! I think I'm more exciting than he is

I love this product! My girl is 3 and a little too young to do the puzzle, but we have lots of fun playing with the town pieces! Sometimes we just stack them and see how high we can get; other times she wants to build actual places. She loves that the characters all have a building to go with it. The only way it could be better is if the characters were more diverse.

This town is almost limitless in the play value. First the puzzle needs to be put together which is great. There are blocks for buildings and vehicles and people. There are alphabet blocks to work with and play with too. It is a great way to teach what different people do in our community to help us and it is great for imaginative play.
