It would have made more sense to call it magnifying - glass rather than a microscope.

Not up to what we expected for a 4 year old. Toy doesn't have a strong lens and only is used to see the slides (which the kid can see without using the microscope). My kid just turned 4 and wanted to see smaller samples. However, it's a good toy to get the kid familiar with a microscope.

I bought it for the 4 year old but she did not seem as interested in it as her brother the 7 year old. I wish the slides had a way to identify what we were looking at. Maybe I didn't use it enough. I didn't open the book to see what was in it. I am just hoping her parents will promote the science use of the microscope.

Got this microscope for both my grandsons ages 4 and 4 1/2. They loved it and started using it often. They are very curious to see the different slides. A great educational toy for pre-schoolers.

It was fun sharing my first experiences looking through my dad's microscope at his veterinary office with my granddaughter. My stuffed animals has a plethora of illness'. I diagnosed from ages 3-6 which all resulted in shots....lol. I hope she enjoys it and seems to so far.

We bought this toy for our 4-year-old nephew, and it was the perfect choice--he was totally engaged. He was so curious of all the slide photos...quick to associate with so much he experiences in nature.

My great grandson does not live close by so it is important that what I purchase for him is a quality product and one that he enjoys playing with. The microscope is a real plus. He loves it. He is only 3, but he is very interested in learning.
