John Deere Johnny Tractor Remote Control

I bought this toy for a 2 year old. He loves to play with it with and without the remote. He is just getting into playing with vehicles and loves to push buttons. Well made toy - good gift.

Great way to get a beginner crawler moving faster! Loved following it around as daddy worked the remote. I'm not sure who had more fun.

This John Deere remote control tractor was a Christmas gift for a 2.5 year old boy. It was an instant hit with him as well as his 4.75 year old sister and even fun for Dad, Mom, Grandpa and Grandma. Even though the 2.5 year old is still trying to figure out how to direct the tractor using the two buttons, it did not deter him from playing with it constantly. He got to belly laughing when the tractor bumped into Mom or Dad's feet. This little tractor is well-built and very sturdy considering some rough toddler handling it received. This tractor is highly recommended and stole the show on Christmas!

Our grandson was thrilled to receive this remote controlled tractor. He has thanked us several times and just received it today! We thought it came with batteries but it did not. We wish we had known that. A sentence stating that on the outside of the box would have been helpful. Fortunately the correct batteries were in the house, or we would have been making a trip to the store!

The toy is very easy for a young child to use.

I got this for my grandsons 2nd birthday. His brother had a remote control item that was somewhat noisy and he was afraid of it, would run and jump on the sofa every time. When I saw the Johnny Tractor with its happy face and colorful body I was pretty sure he would love it and I wasn't wrong. The remote with its large buttons are perfect for his small hands and he can easily operate the movement of the tractor. I think his parents like the fact that it isn't as noisy as the one his brother has and now he has something special to operate.

We bought it for my nephew who is 18 months and he loved it! The remote control is easy to use with the 2 buttons and the adults had fun with it too.

Very dissatisfied with this remote control tractor. The remote intermittently works and when it does work it's very slow and feels like it's going to stop. Very disappointed because the other toys I've bought from this site have been fine. We don't even use the remote and the tractor itself is not that fun to play with.

Once I got a 9 volt battery for the hand controller, my 4 year old grandson loved the truck. He played with it pretty hard and it seemed to hold up. I was a little skeptical at the strength of the truck. He carries the remote by the antenna, but it seems to be holding up also. It took him a very small amount of time before he was chasing my dog with his truck and giggling the whole time. He also sent it off of the top step a few times and it landed on its wheels and kept on moving. Overall, I have been pleased with the purchase.

Tractor is simple remote toy - forward or turns (one direction only). It would be better if the child could turn it in either direction, and also if it had a compartment to carry things in. I don't recommend it for a child under 2.5 yo. It also comes on and off by itself unprompted, regardless of battery power. It has driven itself off a table in the night, for example. A bit creepy.

The gift was for a 20-month-old boy. It was easy for him to operate and he loved it immediately. He never wanted to stop playing with the tractor. It was a perfect gift.

The John Deere Johnny Tractor with remote is really cute. We bought it for our 2 year old grandson so he could have his own remote control vehicle. His 4 year old brother has his own different remote car but doesn't like him to play with it. He keeps it for himself. So this is perfect, it is simple to operate and is small. The only negative is that it is very difficult to open the battery chambers on both the tractor and the remote. The screws are tiny and don't appear to be standard, in that the Philips screw head is hard to grip with a screw driver. Since my husband is an engineer, he has a vast array of screw drivers and was able to find one that did grab onto the screw head. The screw to the chamber for the tractor is down a deep well, so you can't even see the screw. Once you "feel" that the driver is attached to the screw, it takes a lot of pressure to get it to move. I was glad we put batteries in before we gave our grandson his present, because he wanted to play with

I purchased this remote control for my 2 year old grandson, I also purchased batteries from fat brain. The batteries lasted 2 weeks, total crap. The remote control tractor itself appears to be a big meh. Maybe over time there will be some interest.

My nephew absolutely loved this tractor. He is just turning 2 years old. It really kept him engaged. I also appreciated the ease in buying this toy and also that I was given the option of buying batteries to go with it. Great gift!

A crucial stripped screw notwithstanding, the replacement is working just fine. My Grandson loves it. It's a perfect size for a two and half year-old.

Gifted this to my grand nephew who is almost two years old. His mom wrote - This is great for my son's first remote control vehicle because it's simple to use with only 2 buttons My 22 month old can easily push the buttons on his own after trying a few times. It doesn't have a long range though so you can't drive it too far away from the remote.
