We gave this to our great-niece, who can recognize numbers and can count to 30, for her 4th birthday. She and her parents were instantly entranced. She started exploring each piece, standing them on end, counting the inch marks. She also would have started in on the booklet, but we decided to save that for a quieter moment. Her grandmother did one addition problem with her. We all liked the quality, delightful animals and bright colors of the pieces. In addition, all of the adults were impressed with the variety of concepts that could be explored. An instant hit!

Easy to play with especially if you don't want to give out all pieces at once.

My 4 year old loves playing with inchimals and has started understanding the concept of addition. She is even doing some Algebra skills but has no clue! I'm excited to watch her grow and learn with this toy.

While I still find the concept of this toy to be wonderful and potentially useful, I will admit to being extremely disappointed in the product I received. The colors of the blocks are so muted, it looks as if they're covered in a blue coating. The photos on the website show a much brighter, more inviting product, while the blocks I received are anything but! So far my grandchildren have not been tempted to play with these, and I suspect it's because the colors are so dull. I'm still hoping some use will come of these in time, but we'll see. I've always been happy with the products your company sells until this one. It's very misleading that the photos show such brightly painted blocks when in reality (at least with the ones I received) they're so dull as to not be remotely interesting to my young grandsons. I am extremely disappointed in this product.

Our daughter in law has a background as a math teacher. We sent this to her 3 year old daughter for her birthday. When she sent the video of of her playing with it, all the the kids were playing with it. Mom said it made her heart happy to see them engaging with math and enjoying it.

I'm introducing my daughter to this game after she really started liking the tv show numberblocks. She's just about to start waldorf pre-K with less focus on math and writing in the early years. I plan to introduce her to math and science at home through games like this

My grandkids, ages 5, 4 and 2 all love animals so this is a great way to learn math skills. The arts teaching math skills in kindergarten now and the 5 year old really took to the blocks and quickly learned how to add using them. She liked to write in the workbook provided too. I see this as a very valuable tool to help kids with math skills.

The animals that represent the inches are spot on. Manipulating them is great for dexterity. That age it is fun to be a big kid.

Gift for two grandsons (twins), one for each. Received a thank you note & pictures of the boys playing with their Inchimals. My daughter said they play with them often, and use them at times when doing school related activities.

I bought this for my 4 yo grandson and he loves it. He is interested in measuring things and has a fun time figuring out the combinations which add up to the taller blocks.

I gave this to my granddaughter for her 5th birthday! She absolutely loved it. I got to watch her work through several math addition problems using the inchimals and the book that came with them. She did not want to stop. What a hit this gift was! I was delighted at the size and the fact that the numeral was written on one end while the coinciding number of dots was found on the other end. One-inch measurements on the side allowed my granddaughter to measure her arm and her sister did as well. Awesome!

My three and a half year old grandson LOVES numbers, and has already found many ways to explore, talk about and enjoy his INCHIMALS. They are fun to look at and manipulate, and he likes looking at the numbers and animals in the book, too. I'd like to see a wider variety of activities in the book, which is mostly math problems with the Inchimal animals substituted for numbers, and doesn't offer many fun activities for him to do on his own or with an adult.
