My granddaughter (3) and grandson (7) enjoyed taking turns with the drill after she opened it for her birthday. She played with it the next day too. Some improvements I would suggest: Make the drill attachment, necessary for any drilling to occur, attached to the drill permanently, or with a leash. We lost the green one within hours of opening. Luckily a purple one is also provided so the drill can still be played. The storage bin is nice, but if there are screws drilled into the top, the drill and other screws will not fit to close the bin. The drill should recharge with a USB charging cord rather than AA batteries. this would make the product more eco-conscious.

This is the second toy from Fat Brain I've purchased where the battery component did not work. Although the customer service is wonderful and a new toy was immediately sent to me, it's frustrating enough that I more than likely will not purchase another battery toy. Having said that, the replacement drill did work (original one the reverse did not requiring turning all those bolts by hand!) and it is a fun toy for a 3 year old and 6 year old- the latter more creative with design and the 3 year old enjoying the simple rat-tat-tat sound when the bolt is flush. The only other downside is that the drill will not fit in the case with all the bolts once they've been taken out of their packaging. Either fewer bolts or a slightly larger case would've fixed that problem.

I bought this toy for my daughter for Christmas but unfortunately the drill was broken and we couldn't use it. Customer service responded within 3 days over the holiday season so that was great. Unfortunately the toy is not sold out and the manufacturer doesn't supply parts for toy. I am being refunded for this toy.

Kept my 3 1/2 year old granddaughter busy for quite a bit. She's at the age where she needs things that have action and move. Great that everything can fit inside.

Lovely gift for a child.

I like that my granddaughter can simply design and drill her own patterns or follow the booklet patterns for more advanced play. It held her attention for a long time!

She enjoyed playing with her cousin's John Deere Preschool Build-A-Johnny Tractor (from Fat Brain Toys), and I wondered if I should buy her one, too. Then I saw this, and she absolutely loves it! Bright, pretty colors, and she can design whatever she wants. (I thought it was fun, too.)

Was her favorite gift of the day; takes it everywhere; difficult to put everything in the flower & still close; I put the bolts in a quart-size zip-loc bag with a zipper so she can close it after cleaning them up; put the drill, "design book & bit into another bag, same type & size; perhaps there's a way to put all the pieces inside the flower, without every piece being loose, which makes it easier to loose; after playing with it 3x, she had already "lost" one of the drill bits' perhaps another drill bit holder, under the inside of the flower, like the flower bit? Really great gift, just difficult to keep all the pieces together

I purchased this as a gift for my grand daughter and she was eager to play with it. Once we got it opened she struggled with holding the drill in one hand. She is small for her age so using the drill is difficult. This has taken away from her interest in playing with the toy.

I bought this for a three year old. She loves using the drill and taking the 'flowers in and out'. This was a great gift for her! Her older sister and brother want to play with it too.

This was a BIG HIT with the grandkids. Bought it for my 3 year old granddaughter, but the 1 year old and the 5 year old love it too. There is always one of them playing with it.

This was a great gift for my granddaughter especially with an older brother that has a drill and tools.

Cool concept, may have gotten it a bit to early for her. She is almost 3. The drill spins to slow. She would rather play with other toys. Other then the very slow drill speed, nothing else to complain about

This toy is so cool! I love that there is a girly toy for drilling. It stores well as it contains all contents when folded in half. My daughter sits and plays with this for a really long time (she's 3). I like that it can grow with her too by making more complex patterns in the design book included

I take this with me each time I visit my 3 year old grandkids. It is an excellent learning tool. It does need an adult to teach them slowly just as recommended

This item is great! I got it for my niece for her birthday and all of the kids were having to take turns playing with it because they were having so much fun with it. I will be purchasing another one for my daughter as well!

3 and 5 year old both loved it. Personal opinion, pegs could be shorter. But good toy for motor skills and they like to mimic Dad working. Hoping the batteries hold up well.

Works like a charm and provides our granddaughter both challenge and creativity opportunities.
