Crankity Brainteaser

i bought this as a Christmas gift for my 7 year old grandson, who loved it - when he had a chance to play with it! My 5 year old granddaughter is OBSESSED with Crankity Brainteaser. I should have bought one for every grandchild. Great toy!

A winner. Wish there were more like it .. to provoke mechanical understanding of machinery.

It would have been even better to have the whole set, cards, board and gears, fit into the storage bag. The six-year old has just received it recently and was intrigued. Father and grandfather are interested also.

Great toy with the option to work backwards to find the solution to the puzzle by looking at back side of puzzle card. This was appreciated by the adults who could take a break without him getting frustrated when the challenge became a bit harder.

I was looking for a quality gift for a dear friend's very smart 5 year old girl that would fit in my suitcase (traveling to Athens, Greece for Christmas) and I purchased Crankity Brainteaser. I was a little worried that perhaps she would have enjoyed something more "girly". I was very pleasantly surprised when I saw how much she loved it. We spent the entire evening together playing, it was very rewarding to see her play with enthusiasm and challenge her brain at the same time. I highly recommend it! Thank you Fat Brain Toys!!!!!

looks easier than it actually is. My kid goes straight to the solutions. He loves gears so thought this would be a hit. Hoping he grows into it and doesn't just dismiss it because he has to work at it.

My 5 year old grandson found this game fascinating - as did his father! I liked that the puzzles are graded in difficulty so he can progress through them.

My kids, age 3-7, love the Crankity Brainteaser. I like the problem solving process of the activity.

My nephew, 5, loves this game. He enjoys just putting the gears together as well as doing the puzzles. I love that it comes with a carrying case for the gears but wish the bag was big enough to fit the entire board and cards too.

My 6-year-old twin boys found this toy interesting for a while, but mostly they preferred to use the gears in more of a free-form way than solving the challenges. They put the gears together on the board in various ways (without using the challenge cards) to see how they worked, and then they had even more fun spinning the gears on the table. They like to creatively build things, and they would have prefered a gear toy they could use for building something in 3 dimensions.

This was a gift for my 6-year old nephew and he loves it!

My granddaughter loves this brain game. She loves puzzles and figuring out stuff. A really good toy!

Granddaughter loves it

Purchased Crankity Brainteaser for a birthday present for my nephew who turned six years. From the moment he received it he was 'hooked' and is enjoying being challenged.

This is a fun toy. Adults and children can play with it. I like the fun colors. Good for special needs kids. Strengthens problem solving skills.

This is a great toy but I think I went for it before my son was ready. He is 4 and the puzzle aspect is a bit lost on him. He loves putting the solution side of the puzzle in and copying it to make the gears work. But he isn't ready to solve the puzzle on his own. It's well made and shas storage for the cards as well as a bag for the gears and for that reason we love it!

The frustrating thing about this toy is that my 5-year-old granddaughter has trouble replacing the cards in the frame. Because of this, they will likely get worn or bent quickly.

I ordered the Crankity Brainteaser for my grandson's 6th birthday. His father reports that it was a hit and is played with regularly.
